Latest version:
  • source distribution: kmud-1.0.tar.gz

  • rpm: (thanks to Guillaume Assire <alphagolf@altern.org>)

  • binary distribution: kmud-1.0-linux-i386.tar.gz (3.6MB)
This distribution is a linux binary with almost all necessary libraries (like KDE1 and Qt1) included. If you have problems running Kmud, please try this one. It works only for Linux on x86 platforms but there it should run on almost every distribution. Just extract it and run it with "/.kmud".

Note that you need to have the Qt 1.4x and KDE 1.1.x libs installed before compiling Kmud (or rebuilding the source rpm)!
If you have problems installing Kmud, mail us and please include a short description of your system (platform, distribution) as well as the config.log file.

All downloads (including older versions) are available per anonymous ftp at: ftp://ftp.kmud.de/pub/kmud/
If you prefer http-downloads you can find all files at http://www.kmud.de/download/, too.

A cronjob on the server builds a daily snapshot of the development version in CVS every night at 04:00:00 MET.
Because we're developing on a new KDE2 version of Kmud you can choose between a snapshot of
  • the new KDE2 based Kmud2 snapshot (highly alpha) and
  • the older KDE1 based Kmud1 snapshot (not much development anymore).
You must do a "make -f Makefile.dist" before normal compiling to generate the configure script. Note that the snapshots are no "official" distributions and that it can happen that the sources are broken and cannot be compiled.

The new Kmud2 can also be compiled on KDE 3.x systems. Therefore just replace the admin/ directory from CVS with the one from KDE 3. A package containing the admin/ directory of KDE 3.0.1 can be downloaded here .
